From the time that the television came to be, it has been a popular home device that residents use to spend their leisure time with. Watching the television is one activity that allows people to create a time of enjoyable bonding with the family. The very first prototype of the television consists of a hollow box with holes and a system of rollers inside it where pictures are flashed manually. When electronics was developed, electric television started surfacing in the market. The monochrome television attached to a high pole antenna is the first famous electronic type of television. In the old days, television owners already enjoyed the simple way of watching shows in black and white. And since owning a television that time is limited to the rich, sharing it by letting neighbors watch television in the owner’s home has been a generous practice by people then.
As the technology used in the television’s display system advanced, the multicolored television screen was introduced in the market. With this advancement, television shows appeared to be more real than in the monochrome display. Gradually, the monochrome lost its market and eventually became obsolete later on.
Nowadays, the television, or the book tube, has advanced some more. The big box of entertainment became more compact with the appearance of the light crystal display or LCD. LCD television is far better than its predecessors in terms of picture quality, operational cost and aesthetic feature. Installing an LCD television also saves so much space in a person’s home.
